Export IFC

DXF and DWG carry 2D geometry. When the recipient needs the building model itself, walls with their thickness and height, doors, windows, slabs, stairs, rooms and storeys, export IFC.

Export IFC in the Output tab

  1. Open the Output tab.
  2. Click Export IFC in the Export 3D group (active once the model has content).

The file opens in Revit and every other IFC-capable BIM tool. Objects keep their type (an ATIS.cad wall arrives as a wall, not as lines), their level, and stable identifiers, so re-exports stay consistent.

What you see in the 3D view is what the IFC contains: check the model there before exporting (see Navigate in 2D and 3D).

IFC export availability depends on your subscription plan.
